GNRM - JOURNEY HOME PROJECT, GOOD NEWS RESCUE MISSION

Description: Aims to reunite individuals who have been stranded in Shasta County with friends or family outside Shasta County. Its purpose is to help individuals relocate to (not just visit) a place where they have support to find work and housing. Program pays for transportation via Greyhound Bus as funding becomes available.

Eligibility: -Open to adults in Shasta County who have low-income or are experiencing homelessness (and children and teens who are able to travel with parent/guardian)-Must have family/friends at destination who are willing and able to provide a place to stay and ongoing support (this must be verified by GRNM)-Must be medically stable enough to travel unassisted to the destination, and sober before and while in route
