SISKIYOU COUNTY HHSA - SAFE SHARPS DISPOSAL KIOSKS, SISKIYOU COUNTY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY - PUBLIC HEALTH DIVISION

Description: Provides the opportunity for the safe, convenient disposal of sharps. Sharps can include needles, syringes, or lancets. California law prohibits the disposal of sharps in trash or recycle bins. Kiosks (drop boxes) are available throughout Siskiyou County (see Sites listed below).The kiosks accept used sharps packaged in safe containers and sharps that are loose. The Public Health office accepts containers that are too large to fit through the door of the kiosk.
