- Description: Provides State-authorized medical marijuana identification cards for those with serious medical conditions. Cards are available to people whose physicians have recommended the use of marijuana. Provides authorization to possess, grow, transport, and/or use medical marijuana within California. Participation by patients and primary caregivers in the MMICP is voluntary. Offers a registry database for verification of qualified patients and their primary caregivers. This registry is available to the public and law enforcement.
