- Description: Provides a variety of support programs for families and individuals. Services include:Child development activities - enrichment for parents and children ages 0-5 Weekly playgroups Family Sing Along for families with children of all ages Summer day camp for ages 5-10 Life skills and advocacy Peer to peer support Application help with:Energy Assistance (home heating - electric, propane or wood) with GNS (Great Northern Services)CalFresh (food)Medi-Cal (health insurance). Resource & referral for various individual and family needs Mental health prevention & early intervention workshops and services HICAP/Medicare services for seniors on-site by appointment Veterans Service Officer on-site 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month Health, wellness & nutrition Lending library Distributes free books to preschools monthly Copying and faxing services (for a fee, and free to Health and Human Services or GNS) Information and referral to disaster case management.Also provides education and support, which include:Women's CircleSupport group for women to share, explore, build skills, and encourage one another. Meets at Eskaton Washingtom Manor.Mother Daughter CircleSupport group for mother figures and daughters ages 11-16. Strengthen bonds through shared listening, creative expression, and skill building.Raising Emotional Healthy ChildrenFun and educational program for grandparents and other relative caregivers.Girls Circles Support GroupFor girls in grades 4th through 12th grade via in-person and online.
