• Description: Helps families in need during the holidays in Plumas County. Families in need of for gifts for their children (ages Birth through 18) may apply online through December 12, 2025.Community members can help local kids by donating:New, unwrapped toysNew, unwrapped outerwear such as jackets, gloves, and beaniesGift cardsMonetary donations of any amount.One may drop off donations at the Sheriff's Office. (Or look for Plumas County Sheriff's Employees Association Gift Drive boxes at businesses in Quincy and Chester.) Or visit their website to donate money. Their Helping Hands program goes hand-in-hand with the Eastern Plumas County Angel Tree program. Look for Angel Trees at The Toy Store and Plumas Bank in Quincy. Select a tag from the tree to choose a child to buy a gift for.Monetary donations support local families with food, winter coats, toys, heating fuel, and scholarships for graduating seniors.
