Description: The Mt. Olive Toddler Group provides a social experience for your child in a nurturing, preschool environment. You can enjoy observing your toddler explore in a warm, secure setting while he/she participates in art activities, snacks, music and storytime with peers. Throughout the session, the group leader will facilitate parent discussions about parenting and child development issues. Our focus of the group is for each child to begin to socialize and share with peers, communicate verbally, and follow simple instructions and an early routine, in order to become more self-sufficient. The Toddler group will meet once a week for 9-week sessions during the school year. Currently, our groups are offered on Tuesday mornings. The fee of $450 will be paid in full prior to the first class to secure your child's participation. Toddlers must be at least 16 months old and walking to be eligible, and each child may remain in the toddler group until he/she enters preschool. Although we prefer a parent to accompany each child, we welcome a relative/caregiver to share in this experience.
