  • Description: The Recuperative Care program is a short-term program that helps homeless individuals recovering from serious illness or injury that have been discharged to the streets by area hospitals. Individuals have access to health assessments, nursing care, confidential HIV counseling and testing, screening for STIs and TB, referrals for placement into transitional and/or permanent housing, three-meals a day with attention to special dietary needs, assistance in reuniting with family and more. It is operated with the JWCH Institute.
