Did this help?

  • Description: Junior Blind's Children's Group Homes provide round-the-clock care to children and youth, ages 6 to 17, with moderate, severe, or profound disabilities. Residents live in safe, comfortable, and supportive single-family residences that have been renovated to meet their special medical and developmental needs. Junior Blind offers residents therapeutic recreational activities, community outings, structured programming, and comprehensive case management so that they can develop basic life skills and maximize their potential. Families are invited to visit residents frequently, participate in our support groups and attend family camp sessions at Camp Bloomfield in Malibu, California. Children may be referred to Junior Blind's Group Homes Program by a family member, healthcare or blindness professional, California Regional Center, school districts, or the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
