Description: The Midnight Mission's therapists determine the mental health needs of children, and discusses the results with the parents. Ongoing individual and group therapy sessions focus on recovering from personal trauma, overcoming guilt and self-blame, decreasing fear and increasing self-esteem. Children with severe emotional and/or psychological problems are referred to specialty provider agencies as part of the program. Peer groups are available as well as activities throughout the year including field trips, movies, social recreation, and arts and crafts.
