Description: VOALA provides youth of Boyle Heights and their families with the opportunity to be a health advocate and ambassador of nutrition at their schools, as well as within their families and the community. They will gain an understanding of the connection between school eating environments and academic achievement. The youth will be developing leadership skills as they become involved in research, evaluation, and creating an action plan. They will also participate in workshops and develop a marketing campaign.
