Description: A New Way of Life offers free legal assistance from attorneys and trained volunteers to help clients with legal questions and issues including record reduction, reclassification, and expungement (clearing records). The ANWOL legal team works to protect the civil and employment rights of formerly incarcerated people by providing legal advice and representation, helping clients to seek relief under Prop. 47 and 64 or access occupational licensing. Clinics are held in Watts on the second Saturday and in Long Beach on the fourth Saturday of each month. ANWOL also offers weekly “Walk-in Wednesday” office hours in Long Beach for Prop. 47 felony reductions. To register for one of the clinics, please contact 323-563-3575.
