Description: School on Wheels online tutoring program helps to educate, mentor, and support hundreds and thousands of homeless children that were previously unreachable through traditional, in-person tutoring programs due to geographical barriers and logistical constraints. Students and their tutor connect in a live, online classroom and collaborate using audio, video, and a shared whiteboard. Tutors can upload documents in real-time and sessions are recorded so that students may re-watch as needed.
Eligibility: To be eligible for School on Wheels you must be qualified as homeless and staying in a nearby shelter. Students should have completed kindergarten and must be still currently in school.
