PEER TO PEER EDUCATION, NAMI ORANGE COUNTY

Description: Provides an 8-week recovery education course for people with a mental health condition, who are interested in understanding their condition, the journey to recovery, and in establishing and maintaining wellness. The course is led by trained mentors with experience living with mental health conditions. The program includes the following: Education in brain biology Identifying the symptoms of a mental health condition Coping skills Establishing a personalized relapse prevention plan
