  • Description: Provides the opportunity to gain greater knowledge about the community, develop strong leadership skills, and gain experience in restorative justice and substance prevention advocacy for Orange County students. Participants engage in activities and events related to the policy-level change in Orange County educational institutions and inform the community about restorative justice practices. Participants learn to develop strategies to confront the racial inequities and discriminatory practices in the disciplinary actions related to substance possession and use in middle and high schools. Mental health support and access to process groups are offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) youth. Participation in the group provides volunteer hours and community service hours.
