Description: Offers a program available to individuals who require the regular use of electrically powered medical equipment or other qualifying medical devices. Provides an extra 16.5 kilowatt hours of electricity per day at the lowest baseline rate to help with the cost of operating necessary medical equipment. Also offers additional notifications during power outages. In the event of a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event, Southern California Edison will send a representative to the home to make contact, if they are unable to reach the person by the preferred method of contact.
Eligibility: - All ages; Must be a Southern California Edison residential customer with a household member who: Requires the regular use of any electrically powered medical/life support equipment that mechanically or artificially sustains life or restores or replaces a vitalphysical function (including mobility), Are temperature sensitive and require air conditioning, Quadriplegic or hemiplegic; Has a life-threatening illness or compromised immune system or other condition that requires heating and/or cooling
