Customers must have received a shut-off notice (grey envelope).PG&E/REACHQualified recipients may receive assistance up to $2,000. Customers must have a 15-day or 48-hour notice.

  • Eligibility: Priority is given to low-income families with small children and seniors 60+; however, anyone living in Sacramento County in need may apply for assistance. For SMUD you must have a shut-off notice in a grey envelope. For PG&E you must have a notice of termination of service (15-day or 48-hour) and past due balance of up to $2,000.Must Meet Federal Poverty Guidelines (guidelines effective as of January 17, 2024):-1-2 people in household: $40,880 or less gross annual household income;-3 people in household: $51,640 or less gross annual household income;-4 people in household: $62,400 or less gross annual household income;-5 people in household: $73,160 or less gross annual household income;-6 people in household: $83,920 or less gross annual household income;-7 people in household: $94,680 or less gross annual household income;-8 people in household: $105,440 or less gross annual household income;-9 people in household: $116,200 or less gross annual household income;-10 people in household: $126,960 or less gross annual household income;Each additional person, add $10,760Residents of zip codes 95817, 95828, 95824, and 95820 are ONLY eligible for this program if they have already received financial assistance through the Anti-Displacement program offered by the Salvation Army.
