Description: Twenty-four fire stations located throughout the area provide fire protection, advanced life support, transportation, first aid/CPR and defibrillation, technical rescues, swift water rescues, county-wide hazardous materials incident response, fire prevention, public education and code enforcement. Permits issued for fire and hazardous materials, underground storage tanks, and blasting. The Safely Surrendered Baby Law allows parents or other persons, with lawful custody, to confidentially surrender a baby to a local fire station. As long as the baby is three days (72 hours) of age or younger and has not been abused or neglected, the baby may be surrendered without fear of arrest or prosecution.To provide arson crime tips and/or information to the fire department for any on-going criminal and/or suspicious activity, call the arson tip line.
