PREGNANCY, PARENTING, AND ADOPTION SERVICES - CHICKS IN CRISIS, CHICKS IN CRISIS

Description: Runs a pregnancy and parenting resource center to assist low-income men and women with children under 5. Assists parents who are finishing their education by providing resources and services for their young children so they can graduate and become self-sufficient in their respective careers. Services include: Parenting classes Trauma-based counseling referrals Clothes closet for baby and maternity clothing Hygiene items Emergency assistance with diapers, wipes, and formula for low-income families Able to assist clients that are in school (high school, college - 6 units, or a trade school) every 30 days, and those not in school once per calendar year.Does not provide housing assistance.

Hours: Office: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 am - 4 pm
Eligibility: Pregnant and parenting individuals of any age with children under 5. Priority services are offered to clients who are in school (high school, college - 6 units, or a trade school). Those not in school may receive assistance once per calendar year.
Requirements: ID for the client and Medi-Cal/insurance cards for child/children. Proof of school enrollment (minimum of 6 units) is required at each visit for ongoing support.
