Description: Aims to alleviate hunger in Sacramento County by providing consistent access to healthy, meaningful food for all. Provides a three to five-day supply of emergency grocery items once a week when individuals cannot meet basic living expenses and are experiencing food insecurity. Other items, such as baby food/formula, diapers, pet food, and hygiene items, may be available upon request.Other services include:Needs assessment Information and referral Follow-up Client advocacy Crisis interventionA CalFresh Outreach Coordinator is available to help individuals with forms, advocacy, and Spanish communication.For donations, a list of items can be found on the website.
Eligibility: Open to anyone living in Sacramento County, including low-income families, seniors, medically fragile individuals, refugees/asylum-seekers, individuals experiencing homelessness, the working poor, and individuals with disabilities.
