• Description: Investigates reports of sexual assault and allegations of abuse, neglect, and wrongful death of an elder (65 and older) or dependent adults.The primary duty and responsibility of the Sexual Assault Detective are to investigate all sexual assault crimes involving victims age fourteen (14) and older for the following crimes: Attempted Rape Rape (Stranger, Date & Spousal) Unlawful Sexual Intercourse or "Statutory Rape" (It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to participate in a sexual relationship even if it is consensual). Sexual Battery Indecent Exposure Sexual Assault committed in the Correctional Facility Other crimes that are sexual in nature
