Description: Supplies qualified, volunteer employees in various occupations and students in higher education with vanpool vehicles to drive themselves and others to work or school. Individuals pay for their rides. CalVans pays for fuel/charge, maintenance, repairs, and a general liability insurance policy.
Hours: Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
Eligibility: Anyone who wants to share a ride with others can join a vanpool as a rider.Requirements for drivers:- Have a valid Class C license- Be at least twenty-one years of age- Have five or more years of licensed driving experience- Have a clean DMV driving record- Be willing to be a volunteer; driving is not a paid positionVisit the website for additional legal requirements.
Requirements: For riders: sign a Driver and Rider Agreement (optional). For drivers: Valid US Driver's License. To drive a vehicle bigger than an 8-passenger van, an unexpired Class B Physical exam is required. If low-income, the driver may qualify for a free exam.
