Description: Provides dental services to the community while training future dental hygienists and assistants. The Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene students get the hands-on experience needed to obtain appropriate dental skills. All work is performed by students under the direct supervision of a dentist and the dental hygiene faculty.All of this must be performed at the initial appointment:Vitals & Medical History ReviewFull mouth exam including oral cancer screening and pocket depth readingsFull Mouth X-rays or Bite Wings X-rays as prescribed by DDSPersonalized oral hygiene instructionExam by Dentist (DDS) Regular cleaning or a deep cleaning Treatment may include advanced duties such as: Local Anesthesia Soft Tissue CurettageNitrous Oxide-Oxygen Sedation
