- Eligibility: Applicants must:- Be age 50 and older- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent- Agree to and pass a criminal background check and tuberculosis test- Be able to volunteer time to tutor/mentor children who need basic literacy skills- Successfully complete pre-service training- Be able to serve at least four hours a week for the entire school year
