Description: Offers free transit for youth and students in grades TK through 12. The program includes SacRT buses, light rail, and SmaRT Ride on-demand microtransit services.Go to Find Your School and Your Bus Route to find a list of school districts and bus routes for each school.If your school district or school isn't listed, there is no SacRT service to your school. But you can still use your RydeFreeRT card with a sticker to go to the movies, visit the mall, check out a museum, or head to the park.

Hours: SacRT Customer Service: Monday through Friday, 6:30 am - 6 pm, Saturdays, Sundays, 7 am - 4 pm
Eligibility: Available for any youth that lives or goes to school within SacRT's service area, which includes the cities of Sacramento, Elk Grove, Folsom, Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, and parts of Sacramento County. Youth who are experiencing homelessness or taking part in foster programs are also allowed to participate in the program, regardless of current residence or school address.Note: The RydeFreeRT program does not apply to those over 18 years old that are pursuing their GED.
Requirements: No documents required.
