Description: Provides employment services to job seekers in Sacramento County. Helps individuals find employment opportunities by providing them with the necessary tools and training.Services offered: Workshops: Job preparation, including resume building, dressing for success, job search, and interview techniques. Job Search Assistance: Employer recruitment events, job announcements, and youth employment services. Technology Services: Access to copiers, telephones, and computers to complete assessments, online applications, and typing tests. One-to-one computer assistance is also available. Job Coach Services: One-on-one job assistance including developing an employment plan, career counseling, and pre-vocational and post-job services. On-the-Job Training: Sponsored programs that encourage employers to hire trainees after completion of the program.Program is offered in partnership with Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA).
Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, 8 am - 4 pm; Wednesdays, 9 am - 6 pm; Fridays, 9 am - noon
Eligibility: Adults seeking career development, occupational training, job placement, and soft skills to enter or re-enter the workforce.Primarily serves those who are unemployed, underemployed, under-educated, performance challenged by traditional learning environments, receive public assistance, and/or are justice-involved.
