CONSULTATION, SUPPORT, AND ENGAGEMENT TEAM FOR COMMERCIALLY SEXUALLY EXPLOITED CHILDREN AND YOUTH - CAPITAL STAR COMMUNITY SERVICES, CAPITAL STAR COMMUNITY SERVICES

Description: Provides community-based outreach to engage and build relationships with identified youth. CSET staff meet with youth at risk of exploitation and their families/caregivers in a safe location in the community. Offers need assessment, crisis intervention, harm reduction education, and linkage to resources and support (such as housing, job guidance, education, and help with benefits).Services include: Health education and support with healthcare access, including reproductive healthcare. Recovery services based on the promotion of self-advocacy, self-sufficiency, and resiliency. Treatment teams advocating for and supporting youth at risk of exploitation. Family and caregiver education to provide a supportive environment and to decrease the likelihood of exploitation.The team provides: Community-Based Engagement Crisis Support Linkage to Local Resources Group Activities and Consultation Sessions Peer Support Short-Term Mental Health Services
