Description: Offers a substitute mailing address to receive first class, certified, and registered mail for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and elder or dependent adult abuse, as well as reproductive health care workers and public entity employees who are in fear for their safety. The substitute mailing address is accepted by California state, county, and city government agencies. Eligible applicants must enroll at a Safe at Home designated enrolling agency. Hours: Administration: Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; excluding state holidays
Eligibility: Applicants are eligible to participate if they:1. Reside in California AND;2. Are in fear for their safety, or for the safety of a minor child or incapacitated adult AND;3. Are one of the following:- A victim of domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, human trafficking, child abduction, and elder or dependent adult abuse- Reproductive health care provider, employee, patient, or volunteer who has experienced threats of violence, violence, or harassment because of their affiliation with a reproductive health care services facility- A public entity employee/contractor who has experienced threats of violence, violence, or harassment because of their work for a public entity- Are a household member of a category listed above
Requirements: -Enrollment application form (must be completed with an application assistant at an enrolling agency)-Proof of residence address-Copies of any Custody, Visitation, Restraining, or No Contact orders related to minor children or a Declaration Confirming Court Orders Form if copies are unavailable (if applicable)
