Eligibility: To be eligible for California's Low-Cost Auto Insurance Program, or CLCA, one must:- Have a valid California driver's license- Own a vehicle valued at $25,000 or less- Meet income eligibility guidelines (250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, effective as of January 2025)- Be at least 16 years of age *Applicants under 18 must be legally emancipated- Have a good driving recordIncome-Based Eligibility Guidelines:Household size of 1: monthly income of $3,260; annual income of $39,125Household size of 2: monthly income of $4,406; annual income of $52,875Household size of 3: monthly income of $5,552; annual income of $66,625Household size of 4: monthly income of $6,698; annual income of $80,375Household size of 5: monthly income of $7,844; annual income of $94,125Household size of 6: monthly income of $8,990; annual income of $107,875Household size of 7: monthly income of $10,135; annual income of $121,625Household size of 8: monthly income of $11,281; annual income of $135,375Add $1,146 for each additional person in the household.A "household" is defined as all persons listed on a federal or state income tax form.
