  • Eligibility: The VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) offers vaccines to all Veterans, their spouses and caregivers, and CHAMPVA recipients. Vaccinations are free and available regardless of immigration status or insurance coverage.- The updated Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for 2023-2024 are recommended for everyone 6 months and older. Alternatively, the updated Novavax vaccine for 2023-2024 may be given to persons 12 years of age and older.- ???Infants and toddlers 6 months to 4 years of age who are unvaccinated are recommended for 2-3 updated doses. Those who have received prior doses are recommended for 1-2 additional doses.?- Everyone 5 years of age and older is recommended for a single updated dose as long as it's been at least 2 months since the last dose.- People 12 years of age and older who are not vaccinated should get 1-2 doses of the updated Pfizer, updated Moderna, or updated Novavax COVID-19 vaccine.- ?People with weakened immune systems may receive additional updated doses. It is suggested to talk to one's healthcare provider to see if additional doses are recommended.
  • Requirements: Call for information. For each additional dose after the first, clients must bring their COVID-19 Vaccine Record (paper or digital copy). To obtain a digital copy of a vaccine record, visit myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov.
