• Description: Supplies qualified agriculture workers with vanpool vehicles to drive themselves and others to work. Individuals pay for their rides. CalVans pays for fuel/charge, maintenance, repairs, and a general liability insurance policy. Vehicles are well-maintained and are equipped for agricultural occupations.

• Eligibility: Any agriculture worker who wants to share a ride with others can join a vanpool as a rider.Requirements for agriculture worker vanpool drivers:- Be at least twenty-five years of age and have a clean DMV driving record with fewer than 2 DMV points. Or be twenty-one years of age but have 0 DMV points.- Have a valid state-issued driver's license.- Have five or more years of licensed driving experience during which there were no hit-and-runs, reckless driving, or driving under the influence. - Have a blue Farm Labor Contractor Employee (FLCE) card and driving authorization. - Pass the Class B Physical exam.- Not be in a position of authority.- Wash and maintain the van.- Buy gasoline for the van with the credit card provided by CalVans.- Drive as a volunteer; driving is not a paid position.

For drivers: - A valid state-issued driver's license - An unexpired Class B Physical exam - A blue Farm Labor Contractor Employee (FLCE) card - A signed CalVans Volunteer Driver Agreement and Pull Notice Release form (form can be found on website)
