Description: Helps low-income seniors and families with utilities, first month's rent, and eviction avoidance.Please note: Francis House Center cannot provide entry into housing. Entry is through the Coordinated Access System.
Hours: Office: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 9 am - noon, 1 pm - 3 pm
Eligibility: Single adults age 18 and older, Seniors age 65 and older (including couples), and families with at least one child under the age of 18, who fall within income limits. Applicants must meet poverty guidelines for 2024 and have all required documents. Funding is for low-income single adults, seniors, and families, this includes those living with roommates (roommates do not count towards income limit).Income guidelines:Federal Poverty Income Guidelines (guidelines effective as of January 17, 2024) (Income is cash income ONLY, and does not include monthly CalFresh allotments):1 person - $1,255 per month - $15,060 per year2 people - $1,703.33 per month - $20,439.963 people - $2,151.67 per month - $25,820.04 per year4 people - $2,600 per month - $31,200 per year5 people - $3,048.33 per month - $36,579.96 per year6 people - $3,496.67 per month - $41,960.04 per yearFor each additional household member, add $448 per month
Requirements: - Proof of all sources of household income - Photo ID First Month's Rent: - Rental Agreement signed by client & landlord - Lease and W9 provided by the landlord for rental assistance - Receipt for security deposit and partial payment of first month's rent or proof of funds Eviction Avoidance: - Receipt for partial payment of the amount owed or proof of funds - 3-Day Pay or Quit for Eviction Avoidance and W9 provided by the landlordUtility Assistance: - Utility Notice for utility assistance - Proof of recent payment towards what was owed within the past 7 days
