Description: Offers eligible low-income customers (homeowners and renters) rate assistance with their sewer bills. Customers can save up to $90 to $150 per year on the regional sewer portion of their utility bill.Learn more about the Rate Assistance Program.

Eligibility: To qualify, applicants must:- Provide proof of income eligibility- Reside in a property within SacSewer's service area- Live at the address where the discount is being requested- Have their name appear on the sewer bill. Renters may be eligible if their name appears on the sewer bill or if they are completely responsible for paying the bill as part of their total rent amount per lease terms.Gross Monthly Income must be less than:1 - 2 persons: $3,2873 people: $4,1434 people: $5,0005 people: $5,8576 people: $6,713Each additional member: $856Landlords applying for their rental properties are NOT eligible.
Requirements: A copy of current sewer bill and either proof of participation in SMUD's or PG&E's low income program OR income verification documents.
