Description: Protects students who are unhoused/homeless. Supports the enrollment, attendance, and achievement of students who are experiencing homelessness to ensure they receive equal access to educational opportunities. Eligibility: Homeless/unhoused students in the Sacramento City Unified School District. Students are defined as unhoused/homeless if they lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. Includes those who:- Are living in emergency shelters or transitional housing programs.- Are living in a public/private place that is not designed for or normally used as a place for sleeping.- Are living in a motel/hotel, campground, or travel trailer.- Are temporarily moved in with others due to loss of housing or financial problems (eviction, job loss, etc.).Also includes unaccompanied youth, runaways, children abandoned in hospitals, and migratory children who live in the conditions described above.
