Description: Offers CalFresh application assistance for older adults. CalFresh provides resources for people in need to shop for groceries at most markets and farmers' markets using an EBT card (similar to a debit card). Designed to help families buy more healthy and nutritious food.

Eligibility: Older adults 60+. Must have at least one US citizen or permanent resident in the household. Gross Monthly Income must be less than (valid 10/1/23-9/30/24):1 person: $2,430 (maximum allotment $291)2 people: $3,288 (maximum allotment $535)3 people: $4,144 (maximum allotment $766)4 people: $5,000 (maximum allotment $973)5 people: $5,858 (maximum allotment $1,155)6 people: $6,714 (maximum allotment $1,386)7 people: $7,570 (maximum allotment $1,532)8 people: $8,428 (maximum allotment $1,751)Each additional member: $858 (add $219 per person for maximum allotment)You may qualify for "Expedited Service" if the cost of your housing and utilities is more than this month's income combined with the number of your liquid resources such as cash and savings accounts. Or you may qualify if your cash, savings, stocks, etc. are worth no more than $100 and this month's income is less than $150. Or you may qualify if you are a migrant or seasonal farmworker and have $100 or less in cash.
Requirements: When applying have the following items available: Social Security number for person applying, all bank account numbers, dollar amounts of rent and utility payments, and an email address (email is optional). Submission of other documents may be required to CalFresh after submitting the application.
