Description: An employment and training program for out-of-school youth and young adults ages 16 - 24. Provides paid work experience to prepare for continued education or training that will lead to employment in high-demand occupations with career and promotional opportunities.Program includes:Career Awareness, Career Counseling, and Career ExplorationWorkplace Readiness TrainingPaid Work ExperienceOccupational Skills TrainingComprehensive Guidance and CounselingInterview PreparationFinancial Literacy EducationSupport and Preparation for Postsecondary Education and Training
Hours: Office Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9 am - 3 pm; Fridays - by appointment only
Eligibility: Youth (aged 16 - 24) who are currently not enrolled in school, and are motivated to work.Must also meet at least one of the following requirements:- Is low income- Is a previous offender- Is experiencing homelessness- Is a runaway- Is currently in Foster Care- Has a disability- Is pregnant or parenting- Has never worked or has had problems holding a job- Lives in a high-poverty area
