Description: Provides one-stop employment and training services to job-seekers in Sacramento County.Services offered:Workshops - Job preparation, including resume building, dressing for success, job search, and interview techniques.Job Search Assistance - Employer recruitment events, job announcements, and youth employment services.Technology Services - Access to fax machines, copiers, telephones, and computers to complete assessments, online applications, and typing tests. One-to-one computer assistance available.Job Coach Services - Clients receive in-depth one-on-one job assistance including developing an employment plan, career counseling, and pre-vocational and post-job services.On-the-Job Training - Participants enroll in a sponsored program to encourage employers to hire them after completion of the training program.Offered in partnership with Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA).Other services available:Free typing and alpahnumeric/data entry testsAccess to computer, fax, scan, and copy machineEmployer hiring eventsCurrent job postings Assistance uploading employment documentsCommunity resource informationMetrix online vocational trainingResources for veterans and justice involved individualsNorthstar Digital Library Computer Classes
Hours: Office Hours: Monday through Wednesday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Thursdays, 8:30 am - 8 pm; Fridays, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Orientation: Second and Fourth Tuesdays of the month, 10 am on Zoom or 1 pm in person
Eligibility: Available to adults age 18+ after CalJOBS registration is completed.
