Counseling supports immigrants and refugees who have: Endured traumatic stressorsAre experiencing domestic violence Those with other mental health concerns Services Include: Case management coordination across service providers to address the assessed needs of the client Scheduling appointments Assisting with transportation arrangements Ensuring appropriate interpretation is provided Completing paperwork Advocating for clients to receive services Providing education for navigating difficult or complex systems Listening to a client during a difficult time Evidence-based psychological trauma healing activities- Individual, family, and group therapy, including telehealth options- Home visits conducted by community health workers Family-strengthening interventions and parenting classesSupport groups and social support network buildingNavigate Covered California health insurance , review health plan options, provide enrollment and renewal assistance, offer ongoing support with getting the best value from plans offered.

Eligibility: Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) eligible persons from the following groups:-Refugees-Asylees-Cuban and Haitian entrants-Iraqi and Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders-Amerasians-Victims of human trafficking-Living in the U.S. or granted status in the last 5 years.Experiencing unique challenges such as:-Disability or illnesses-Mental health symptoms-Domestic or gender-based violence-Single parent, youth, or elderly-LGBTQ+-HIV-positive-Substance abuse-Survivor of trafficking or sexual abuse-Originally resettled out of state but now in Sacramento
