Description: A clean air vehicle incentive program funded by the California Air Resources Board. Eligibility: Participant must:- Be 18 years or older.- Be a California resident (community members with AB60 and ITIN qualify).- Apply before purchasing/leasing a vehicle (incentive is not retroactive).- Not have participated in any CARB light-duty vehicle purchase incentive program.- Have a combined household income that is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (effective as of January 2025).Income-Based Eligibility Guidelines:Household size of 1: monthly income of $3,913; annual income of $46,950Household size of 2: monthly income of $5,288; annual income of $63,450Household size of 3: monthly income of $6,663; annual income of $79,950Household size of 4: monthly income of $8,038; annual income of $96,450Household size of 5: monthly income of $9,413; annual income of $112,950Household size of 6: monthly income of $10,788; annual income of $129,450Household size of 7: monthly income of $12,163; annual income of $145,950Participants can only receive one incentive per household for the lifetime of the program.
Requirements: - Proof of household income: recent pay stubs, previous year's tax transcript, etc. Income documents can vary according to employment category (employed, self-employed, etc.).- Proof of residency: CA driver's license, recent utility bill, or recent phone/internet bill.An additional list of documents is available on the application checklist on the website.
