Description: Participants follow a path encompassing job search, GED preparation, vocational training, and job application assistance, all aimed at fostering self-sufficiency. Clients are put through a detailed assessment process, and action plans, guiding participants with steps to achieve their goals.Training and Secondary Education Support: Pivot assists participants in identifying and enrolling in vocational, college, and continuing education programs. Works to facilitate admissions, offer application assistance, and provide financial support when available. Job Readiness/Job Search: Develop personalized tools and strategies for effective job searches, teaching participants how to navigate job announcements, modify resumes, and offer individual hands-on application support. Mock interviews and assistance with securing necessary work documents are also provided.Job Retention/Job Coaching: Conduct ongoing support to enhance job retention following employment. This includes navigating resources to address challenges and offering gas cards, credit restoration, expungement support, and financial assistance. The goal is to ensure sustained success in the workplace.
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9 am - 4 pm; Fridays, 9 am - noon;
Eligibility: Open to all but programs are designed for participants with multiple barriers to employment, specifically high school dropouts, single parents, homeless or are at-risk of homelessness, have a felony background, been incarcerated or are transitioning from foster care-unemployed or underemployed adults who can be considered hard-to-serve and unemployable.
