Description: Key Connections Co-Living connects home-seekers with homeowners who have available rooms for rent. Helps increase financial stability by allowing participants to share living expenses like rent and utilities. Shared living arrangements promote companionship, social interaction, and emotional support and positively impact participants' physical, mental, and emotional well-being.The Key Connections Program Coordinator will:Conduct reference and background checks for participants and any adults living in the homeIdentify potential co-living matchesMake introductions between homeowners and home seekersCoordinate the written home-sharing agreementOversee trial living periodsConnect participants to other community resourcesKey Connections Co-Living is:NOT emergency housingNOT short-term rentalsNOT in-home health supportNOT income basedNOT a Property Management Company

Eligibility: To participate in this program, at least one household member must be 60 years or older. All participants must pass reference and background checks before placement.HOME PROVIDERS AND HOME SEEKERS:.No current criminal record history or pending charges of crimes against person or property..No substantiated case of abuse of any kind..At least three references who can recommend them for the program and speak to their lifestyle and character..Home seekers must also have a positive landlord reference as well.
