Description: The San Diego Hunger Coalition provides direct CalFresh/SNAP application assistance through local community partners. Works with various community organizations to provide pre-screening and application assistance, quarterly report and re-certification assistance as well as client case advocacy.
Also visit community based organizations to provide CalFresh presentations to community members who may be eligible.
Eligibility: Based on household income and the number of people in the household (anyone living together and buying and preparing food together).
CalFresh is California's food stamps (SNAP) program. Clients can apply over the phone through 2-1-1 San Diego's Enrollment Center, online, or through other community partners.
