- Description:
Provides temporary cash aid and services to low-income eligible families with children. The aid supports food, shelter, access, and essentials. Recipients are eligible for Medi-Cal and may qualify for CalFresh benefits.
For adults who can work and are not exempt, there is a four-year lifetime limit on CalWORKs. Cash assistance is conditional on participation in work activities through the Welfare to Work program.
