LEGAL ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH , LAW FOUNDATION OF SILICON VALLEY

Description: Provides legal services to children and youth up to age 21 and current/former foster youth (ages 14 to 24). Helps them with issues related to:
- Juvenile dependency
- Family law
- Probate guardianship
- Emancipation
- Education matters
- Immigration screenings
Also provides immigration screening and legal services to immigrant youth. Helps them obtain permanency through Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS). Listens to, advises, and advocates for clients to protect and promote child welfare. Also offers workshops to educate the community about issues impacting child welfare and legal rights.
