Provides a reentry program for formerly incarcerated individuals in Santa Clara County. Helps those coming from California state prisons transition back into their community. Helps individuals with obtaining stable incomes and building self-sufficiency. Include the following services:
Reentry homes - individuals can share expenses equally and build a network of support
Stipends and reimbursements for family who provide stable housing for reentry clients
Private apartments - offers help secure rental deposits and rent assistance in private apartments
Sober living - for clients at risk of addiction or those who prefer a sober environment
Offers up to one year of rental assistance while clients seek employment to achieve long term self-sufficiency.
Eligibility: - At least 18 years old
- Served time in a California State Prison
- Released from prison or jail within the past two years
- Homeless or at risk of homelessness
- Working or willing to become employed
- Willing and able to save $500 per month, if provided free or subsidized housing for one
year
- No sex offenders, 290's
- No violent offenders on ankle monitor or considered high risk
- No fire starters
- Willing to work with staff to find employment
