SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES (SSVF), CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE DIOCESE OF STOCKTON

Description: During COVID-19 response, office is closed to the public, but legal aid is available by phone, email, or video chat (updated 7/24/20).

Provides supportive services to low-income Veteran families. Helps Veterans living in or transitioning to permanent housing. Services include assistance in obtaining Veteran Assistance (VA) benefits and other public benefits. Provides housing counseling, rental and utility assistance, rental deposits, childcare expense, and transportation.

Eligibility: Veteran who meet the following eligibility:

- Must meet income requirements
- Must be without a home or at risk of being without a home

- Must have served in the United States military or a member of a family in which the head of the household or the spouse of the household head is a Veteran

- Received a General or Honorable discharge and meet minimum Active Duty requirement if in the Guard or Reserve
