• Description: Provides financial assistance to disabled Veterans and their families. Helps Veterans that served post September 11th, and who are residents of Kern County. There is no criteria for the type of financial assistance provided. There are some exceptions.
  
  Some types of assistance include:
  
  • Rental deposit assistance
  • Rental payment assistance
  • Utilities payment assistance
  • Childcare expense assistance
  • Transportation expense assistance
  
  Does NOT help with the following:
  • Court fees
  • Credit cards
  • Child support
  • College tuition
  • Traffic violations
  • Funeral expenses
