• Description: Offers a free statewide quit smoking service. Provides up to seven free sessions of individual telephone counseling if client is ready to quit now. A trained staff person will offer a choice of services, from:
  • one-on-one telephone counseling
  • text messaging support
  • self-help materials such as nicotine patches for those who qualify
  • referral list of other programs
  The Helpline also provides information to friends and family members of tobacco users.
