Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) - Provides cash assistance to refugees during the first 12 months of residence in the US. Also covers asylees for up to 12 months after asylum is granted. Refugees must first apply for CalWORKs. If eligible, benefits will be paid out under that program instead.
Trafficking and Crime Victims Assistance Program (TCVAP) - Provides aid to non-citizen victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and other crimes. Services include cash assistance, food benefits, employment, and social services.
Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) - Provides cash assistance to legal immigrants who are seniors, blind, or disabled. Participants may be eligible for Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS). For more information, including income standards, visit the California Department of Social Services.
