    Provides trained service dogs to individuals with disabilities. Helps promote independence and increase quality of life. Canine companion service dog breeds include labrador retrievers, golden retrievers, and crosses of the two. Service dogs are trained in a variety of skills including the ability to:

    • Retrieve and deliver dropped items
    • Tug to open a door or drawer
    • Pull a laundry basket
    • Turn lights on and off
    • Alert and orient recipients to sounds
