FLOOD ELEVATION MITIGATION PROGRAM, SONOMA COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION

Description: Provides eligible home owners with grant funding for elevation of flood-prone properties.

Provides up to 75% of the cost of raising a flood-prone residential structure. Provides a grant and the owner must provide the remaining 25% of the cost prior to the start of construction. Offers assistance for residential structures in Sonoma County that have experienced flood damage. Helps property owners in developing plans, obtaining permits, and receiving bids. Makes payments directly to the contractor after the work has been approved.
